Petén is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful
departments in the Republic of Guatemala, with its awe-inspiring scenery.
“This department
holds a unique historic value for its archeological richness, fauna, and
biosphere reserve. Its numerous archeological sites make this region the most
important one of the Mayan world. One of such sites is Tikal, which was also
declared Cultural Heritage of Humanity Site by UNESCO in 1979. You can celebrate
a new beginning surrounded by mysticism, history and nature”.*
Few weeks ago, we had
the privilege to visit Petén with some
of our colleagues. In only 33 minutes,
we flew from Guatemala City to Petén, via TAG Airlines!
